upcoming mission of ISRO, ISRO

Chandraayan-3 :

After the hard landing of Vikram rover in Chandrayaan-2 mission, ISRO chairman k Sivan announced Chandraayan-3. The government of India approved this mission immediately and also gave 75 Crores (US$11 million) as an initial fund. The Mission cost may around 615 Crores (US$86 million), which is about half of the Chandrayaan-2 mission.

Since they placed the orbiter in the moon's orbit(in Chandrayaan-2), successfully and so they will only launch a lander(including a rover). They decided to launch this mission in March 2021.

GSLVmk III launch vehicle will used for this mission.

Aditya L1 :

Aditya L1 is first mission of India to study the sun.

It is all started in 2008 when the space advisory of India conceptualize this sun mission, named it Aditya 1. But when it was approved by India's government in 2015, the name renewed to Aditya L1.

Aditya word means Sun, Whereas L1 is the Lagrangian point. Lagrangian point is a position in space where the two large bodies (like sun and earth) gravitational force cancel out each other. And, so the third object can easily stay or park there. There are five points and L1 is one of them. L1 is closest to the sun to view without any interruption. There are some Solar and Heliospheric Observatory Satellite of NASA's working there.

The 400 KG-Class Aditya L1 will launch in mid-2021 or further due to the Chinese-virus from Sriharikota.

Aditya L1 will be launched using the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) XL with 7 payloads (instruments) on board. The estimated budget of this mission is around 400 crores(US$55 million).

Gaganyaan :

The word Gaganyaan means sky craft. Gaganyaan is an Indian manned Mission.

By this mission, ISRO aims to send three Indians in low earth orbit by December 2021 for a period of five to seven days. It was first announced by Pm Modi on India's independence address in 2018.

Before this mission, ISRO is planning for same Missions in Dec 2020 and June 2021, without humans. The budget for this all mission is around 1.7 billion US dollars.

This mission will makes India the fourth country to send a human with its own technology.

GSLVmk III launch vehicle will used for this mission.

Shukrayaan-1 :

The word Shukrayaan simply means Venus craft.

A research team led by the Universities Space Research Association (USRA) has found out that Venus may have active volcanoes.

So, India's Venus mission will study atmospheric chemistry, dynamics, compositional variations of Venus, active volcanoes etc.

It will launch at the end of 2023 from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

The Government of India, In 2017–2018 gave the Department of Space a 23% increase in money. And under the space sciences section, the money is for "for Mars Orbiter Mission II and Mission to Venus".

GSLV mark III launch vehicle will used for this mission and the budget is unknown.

Mangalyaan 2 or MOM 2 :

The word Mandalyaan means mars craft.

It is second mission of ISRO to study mars. It will launch in 2024 from satish dhawan space center.

Mars orbiter mission 2 will take foward the study of life and water on mars.

Again, GSLV mark III launch vehicle will used for this mission and the budget is unknown.

Space station :

After the Gaganyaan mission, ISRO will extend the Ganganyaan program and launch India's own space station under it.

It will small compared to the International space station and the china space station.

This space station will complete in 6 & 7 years after the Gaganayaan mission. The cost of this mission is not announced.
